WoD= Wall of Defense (more on this later)
BG/s= battleground/s
ETA= estimated time of arrival

How To Send/Accept League Friend Requests (FR)

As you know from your first Training Bulletin, having friends is paramount to your success in this game.

SENDING:
The easiest way to send a FR is in chat. Click on someone’s name, click on the 3 red lines next to their name, and click on the green + Add to Friends.
If you are sending a FR to someone who is not in chat at the moment (Marshall, Captains, Field Commanders), go to your EMBASSY> MY LEAGUE> WARRIORS, click on the castle coordinates of the person you want to add, hover over their castle, and click the green box below the castle info.

ACCEPTING:
If you have pending FRs to accept, you will see an orange box with a number in it next to your name on the Plarium banner at the top of your page. (You may have to refresh your page.) Click on the box or your name>Friends>Friend Requests> hover over icon and click the green check mark.

Gaining Ground (Resources, Troops, Experience)

Stormfall is all about collecting enough resources so that you can train enough troops, discover enough lost arts, and upgrade enough buildings to expand your army. The larger and stronger your army gets, the more successful you will be in your offensive actions against other players or in game quests and the more effective you will be in defending your castle and territory.

You can only produce resources as fast as your farms, mines, and townhouses will allow, so it is important to upgrade them. You can only store as many resources as your barns and warehouses will allow, so it is important to upgrade them. It’s a balancing act but try to do them as directed in your quests.

The discovery of lost arts will lead to buildings that will increase your resource production as well as make your troops stronger. (A fully upgraded pikeman is stronger than a non-upgraded paladin.) HOWEVER, you will want to discover lost arts as DIRECTED IN YOUR QUESTS because you will get free units in addition to the experience.

The completion of the daily quests and league quests is a great way to gain resources and experience points as well as the occasional crystal coffer. There is no risk to you, they just take time.

Troops

First thing you need to know is the difference between offensive and defensive troops. In the upper right corner you will see a shield, a sword, or an eye.

The shield signifies your DEFENSIVE units. These are the units you will use on defensive battlegrounds, as tripwires and WoDs (more on those later), to hold fiefs and sieges, to defend your castle, and to send to the Beacon (more on this later).

The sword signifies your OFFENSIVE units. These are the units you will use on offensive battlegrounds, raiding and besieging bots and castles, and other attacks. Even though offensive units do have defensive capabilities, it is not wise to use them that way. 100 dragons vs 100 dragons will result in heavy loss on the defender’s side.

The eye signifies your SPYING units. These are the units you will use to spy on other castles or bots. They can also be used to protect your castle against spying if they are left out of the catacombs.

Key troops to focus on:

Archers… quick and inexpensive, they are one of your best defensive units and a key unit in tripwires, WoD, and defensive BGs.
Paladin… faster and stronger than the pikeman, they are one of your best offensive units and a key unit in raiding and offensive BGs. (but your pikeman can be very useful in offensive BGs as well.)
Nomads…are fast and will be a key unit in WoDs
Knights… are fast and able to carry loot, making them are a great resource for raiding.

Try to avoid using units that you are unable to train. Save them for a rainy day.

Catacombing and Spending Down Resources

One of the biggest mistakes new players make is trying to defend their castle. This has led to the complete decimation of many an army. Until you have a stronger and larger army, have built up your castle defense, and/or have a WoD (more on this later) from the league, your best defense is to hide your troops in the catacombs and spend down your resources.

Catacombing and spending down should always be done before logging off (or walking away from your computer for coffee) or when you see and incoming raid*. You can access your Catacombs from the Catacombs itself or from your Keep. Choose the units you want to place in the Catacombs and click the SEND button.

Whether you are in your Catacombs or your Keep, the SEND option places your units INSIDE the Catacombs and the RECALL options places your units OUTSIDE in your Keep

When you send troops out on a raid or to the BGs, they will return to your Keep even if you sent them from your Catacombs so it is important to remember to send them back to the Catacombs when you are finished with them.

You will also want to spend your resources on building upgrades, lost art research and troop training so that they are not carried away by your enemies.

Resource Sharing

One of the benefits of belonging to a league is the ability to share resources. Sharing resources makes us stronger as a league.

If you have resources to SHARE, pop into chat and let people know how much and what you have to share (Does anyone need 6K food?).

If you NEED resources, let us know what you are looking for and how much you need. If your barns hold less that 24K, then let us know how much you can hold as well. (Does anyone have extra gold? I need 5K. I can only hold 6.5K.)

Many times you will find league mates willing and able to give you the resource that you need. Sometimes you may be able to work out a resource trade. Sometimes you may end up looking for the very resource that everyone else is looking for (gold). Regardless, chat is the place to start whether your coffers are overflowing or empty.

The Embassy

The Embassy is where you can access your personal allies, other leagues, the Beacon, and key League information such as list of Integrity members and diplomatic status between Integrity and other leagues

We cannot express enough how important the Embassy is to your success in Integrity. Integrity is a diplomatic League. It is extremely important that you check the Embassy regularly so that you know what leagues we currently hold alliances/peace treaties with. “Oops, I didn’t know we had a peace treaty with them.” may work the first time but repeated attacks on leagues with whom we have good diplomatic standing is grounds for dismissal from the league.

TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK THE DIPLOMATIC STATUS BEFORE YOU ATTACK.

To check the diplomatic status go to the EMBASSY> MY LEAGUE> DIPLOMACY.  Leagues who are our allies will be listed first with a blue emblem under “status”, followed by leagues with whom we have peace treaties with a green emblem under status.

League Tournaments and Quests

League tournaments and quests are found under the EVENTS icon on the left hand side.

Tournaments
After being a member of Integrity for 7 days you will be eligible to collect rewards for league tournaments. A League Tournament is a quest where the league’s contribution is what matters most. You will need a minimum of 100 points to earn a share in the rewards. There are always command staff available to assist you in reaching this 100 point goal so don’t be afraid to speak up in chat.

Once the tournament is over and you have clicked the green FINISH button, any troop rewards will be automatically sent to your catacombs. Spells, boosts and resources will be added to your BLACK MARKET. Rewards for Tournaments are often located under both the Resources and Misc tabs.

Quests
League Quests are special missions that our League has 24 hours to complete. The mission is divided into 4 stages and as we complete each stage we earn an increasingly larger reward. At the completion of the Quest, any reward earned will be added to your BLACK MARKET. These reward capsules expire after 3 days so you will want to collect them quickly. To collect, go to the BLACK MARKET> MISC (treasure chest on last tab)> SPECIAL.

A Few Last Tips

  1. Castle locations on the map are on an x, y coordinate system. The negative sign (-) is important. If you don’t write coordinates correctly, we can’t find what you want us to find. Coordinates should be written: 311, -250 or 311/-250.
  2. Battlegrounds will get progressively harder. Don’t defeat them so fast that they become impossible to beat. Sometimes it is better to leave the quest for the next level and work on enlarging and strengthening your army.
  3. Occasionally in chat you will see people report that league members have units down or need reviving or something to that effect... When someone is raided, any of their castle defense (immortals, red dragons, etc.) are temporarily killed. However, they can be instantly raised by other league members. YOU MUST BE FRIENDS WITH THEM IN ORDER TO SEE THEIR DOWNED UNITS. You are allowed to raise one castle guard and one wraith per 24-hour period. When people do this they report in chat +1 +1 or +2 and whether or not there are more units that need reviving.
